DESIGN & MAKE
We manage all types of projects big and small, and provide a complete service from concept to final fitting. We use our extensive expertise to help our clients develop and realise their ideas with beautiful design, functionality and fit. HOW WE WORK
We’ll arrange a site visit to talk through your plans, budget and timescales, take measurements, and discuss different options such as materials, finishes, colours, ironmongery and glazing. We’ll then provide you with a quote and lead time, and if you decide to go ahead, we’ll arrange another visit to take detailed measurements and finalise your requirements. We undertake detailed technical design for every job, ensuring its construction and fitting are of the highest standard. If your project is part of a newbuild, planned extension or listed building with permission, we can work to you or your architect’s existing plans.
LOOK, NO NAILS!
The joinery and components are made in our workshop by our highly skilled team of joiners and carpenters. We use hand and machine tools to craft each project with joints such as mortise and tenons and dove tails, that don’t use nails, screws or any other metal fasteners. With projects that need fitting, we use professional fitters who will do all the making good – inside and out.
SOUND MATERIALS
We use the best quality materials that are lasting and sustainable. We can also source locally. We use FSC certified Oak for windows, doors, porches, staircases, cabinetry, etc. For our painted joinery we mainly use a FSC certified tropical hardwood or Accoya, a sustainably sourced softwood that’s been enhanced to minimise shrinkage and maximise longevity.
